I locked myself out!!!

Ok im a fool!!

I was messing around with my boot lock with my keys in the ignition and radio on but i must have locked the car while doing so and locked myself out and i only have one key which as mentioned is in the ignition

So i ordered a lockpicking set off amazon with a couple of "Jimmy bar" style things and other bit and pieces but cant seem to get any of them do work
Has anyone done this and found a way in afterwrds?..... Its a touring

I dont really fancy breaking the quarter to get in but i may be asking in the wanted section very soon for a new one !!

Easiest way is remove the windscreen. One clip at the bottom of the screen and the centre of the rubber comes out. Then you're able to prize the windscreen out (be careful and try and use something plastic).

Re fitting can be done with some fairy liquid and a blunt instrument.

Cheers Maxfield that sounds like a sensible way of overcoming this!!
I will try this at the weekend when i have enough light as i finish work too late

It's possible to wedge the top rear corner of a door out far enough to push in a piece of stiff wire without causing any damage. You need to shape the end of the wire to fit around the lock button under its mushroom head.
If you do find afterwards that the door isn't fitting quite as well as it did before, wind down the window, and simply bend it back again. It's only thin steel.

Ok Brianmoooore I was attempting this with packing tape from a pallet but was so scared of bending the door and losing its shape for good
I may possibly try this first now i have been a bit more confidence

RAC did this for me in minutes a few years ago....toooooo easy.
