Need technical Q/A then you're in the right place

Trying to remove my headliner. I have all windows and seals out, as well as the sunroof but not the sunroof tray.. I want to get the front harder part off before getting the rest of it out, but I'm having a hard time.

Any suggestions would be great,
Cheers.

I presume you're talking about the black front roof trim panel fitted to saloons?
Two screws underneath the sunroof pop up 'gurney strip'.

Thats right. I did think that thanks.

How do the two things holding that in place come off? They look welded in at first glace.

the metal arms at each end of the wind deflector pop out of their fixings in the channels,if u lever them upwards w/screwdriver or just pull upwards on them w/your fingers.
