I'm sure this has been asked many times before, but my search powers are weak tonight;
In regards to the 188 medium case diffs, will E36, E46, E90 or any of the 1-series CWPs fit in the E30 medium case housing? I'd imagine the diff centres and crown wheels will go in, but what about the pinion? Do the length or profile of the shaft cause an issue?
Also, are the CWPs from LSDs specific or could a CWP from an open diff be fitted to an LSD? I seem to remember when I used to be into RWD Opels that the crown wheel was thicker in one or the other so couldn't be used without machining. Is this the case with our beloved E30s?
