1990 318is M42. I've only had it 2 months and I'm not sure what the previous owner did or didn't do, it all looked pretty standard to me though. And the dealer didn't know.

Correct. There's also a small pipe coming from the throttle body that is plugged at it's free end, (which can be seen in the first pic.) and a rubber hose tucked into the LH suspension turret reinforcement, which must not be blocked.Cloggy Saint wrote:Most likely the plug for the carbon cannister/emissions.
