this will get locked pretty soon; not only is it not e30 related but its related to one of the worst, shoddiest, poorly built, unperformance bred ugly unreliable out of business piece of shit cars ever made
noentheless i guess the procedure is pretty much the same; there hsould be timing marks on the cam n crank pulleys should there not? i take it you havent removed thebelt yet? you shoudl time it up before so
after refitting you should be able to turn the cambelt about 90 degrees an thats when it is timed properly; this is what iv always done

I would moove the cams to thier timeing marks first, the 2 pullys have multiple marks on them so on the inlet cam use the 1 marked inlet and exhaust for the exhaust (sounds daft but i have seen more experianced mechanics than myself get that bit wrong) the marks should face eachother, then turn the crank to tdc1 there are marks on the crank pully for this.
form here on its just another cambelt job, just make sure you turn it over a few times by hand by the crank (re fit the bolt without the outer pullys) and double check everything
oh and have fun bleeding her up, they are a pain in the ass
