Hello,

I just installed my new instrument panel with rev-counter.
i had to transfer the PCB from the other panel because it wouldn't work otherwise.
now this brought some negative effects with it...
my rear foglight-light won't work (bulb is fine)
and the checkup meter is burned out on one side:

Now i have three options:
- start soldering on the checkup meter and leave the fog light

- figure out what component drives the rev-meter and switch that to my original PCB (doesn't seem possible to me)

- use black magic on my old PCB to make the rev-counter work

my question is:

-how can i make the rev-counter work on my original PCB

OR

-can i just start soldering on the burned out unit? or will that damage the rest beyond repair.
-what could have caused the foglight-light to malfuncion(how do i fix it)

Whatever is wrong with your foglight, it's nothing to do with the instrument cluster, unless by some strange way, the tell tale bulb is short circuited and blows fuse 15!
Little panel with the check bulbs is plugged in to the main board. Either swap it over, or solder in a new bulb.

can you "unplug" the small board or does it require soldering too ?

(reinstalled the board so i can't check)

Daughter board with the LEDs and bulbs plugs into the SI board.
SI board, fuel gauge, temp. gauge, tacho. and speedo. all plug into the main circuit board.
