I'm struggling to remove part 14.

I've followed wiki guide, gearbox won't drop when crossmember removed isn't making it easy for visibility.

Part 3 has snapped leaving me with a very sloppy gear change if able to find a gear at all. No neutral, so doing a refresh.

I changed a month or so ago, the stick for a short shift and gear change was stiffer, could this cause bracket 3 to snap?

Any advise lads?

14 is removed by spreading 19 slightly with a flat blade screwdriver twisted in the gap, then sliding it out of the way. Pin 18 should then virtually fall out.

If the gearbox cross member is off, the engine and gearbox are virtually balancing on the rubber engine mounts, so if the gearbox back end won't drop, find out why. Watch out for cables being crushed on the bulkhead, and the fan getting intimate with the shroud or radiator.

Part 3 has snapped?? I would expect the tabs on the gearbox to break off, long before this would snap. I've seen a few mangled clips on 3, usually caused by someone trying to remove them without knowing how, but never a damaged pin itself.

3 is totally missing, gearbox tabs looks ok. I was driving along and the gearstick just went all wobbly and took some effort to find 2 and limp home.

Fan shroud is removed, only thing I can think might be in the way is purple tag rack, was tight on the sump when installed.

If 3 is missing, it didn't break - it fell out, because the spring clip part had previously been damaged by less than expert attention on some previous occasion.
