The 4dr is due for its MOT in April so want to get her ready bit by bit, the rear shocks are a bit bouncy, not enough to fail yet but I would feel happier with them done.

Is it an easy (ish) job? Looks a bugger to get at the things.

The rear of the car was lowered by the numpty who owned the car before me, so is what will I have to do, but new springs to ensure the shocks and springs match?

 I am trying to learn... but I am female, sorry if my question sounds ridiculous

Hi Hannah, changing the rear shocks is easy, (as long as you have and empty boot winkeye). Just one bolt on the trailing arm and the ones on the top. Shock mounts often go so think about replacing them at the same time. As for changing the springs if they are easy to get in/out if they are lowered springs (shorter) with the arm hanging down. Normal springs are a bit more fidly as you have to compress them slighty to get them in.
