Hi guys whilst my car was stored at my parents house for 10 yrs ....my dad has managed to lose the service history!!!!! I'm gutted as the service book had plenty of stamps and I also had a massive file of receipts....
Whilst I'm not selling the car I'm not bothered but was wondering what effect it will have in the future should I ever sell.....
Any thoughts would be appreciated

I doubt whether the service history from 10 years back has any effect on the value now, let alone whenever you eventually sell the car. Put it this way, how much more would you pay for a car that had a service history going back 20 years with a 10 year gap ending 5 years ago, compared to a car with a service history going back 5 years?
