My 1984 320i has failed its MOT on the offside upper suspension mounting and the guy doing the work has said it's the perch connected to the chassis. I have spoken to BMW who have said they can't find such a part. I have been told of 3 options
1. Scrap the car (won't be happening)
2. Find a doner car ( haven't got one)
3. The welder will fabricate a new one but is hesitant to do so as it's quite a job to fabricate it.
Do I have any other options or is there anywhere where I could purchase the part as it seems quite a common corrosion area.
Cheers

I have seen corrosion in this, but I wouldn't say it's common.
Ask in the wanted section, and see if someone who's just broken an E30 will do a chop from the shell before scrapping it.
It's #5 on here, but I've no idea if it's still available, or what the current price is.

Thanks. I have posted it in the wanted section. What is #5 and where can I find it?
