Starter motor clicking

Hello all

When cold car starts great. If it's warm the starter motor clicks and I have to keep trying. It goes eventually but is nightmare.

Thoughs? Bad earth? New motor required? Cleaning of the connections?

If it's a good, solid click then it sounds like the solenoid on the starter motor has failed.
Only comes attached to replacement motor.
