rear heated screen

mines never worked ? read few bit hear and there found not very much on it:/ fuses are good,cant see any broken wires on the screen. not sure what else to try other than the + feed wire broken maybe? is there a normal fault with these ?

Assuming the switch lights up when it's switched on, it's unlikely to be anything other than a faulty screen.
Connect a 12 volt bulb across the screen, on the tabs that the connectors push onto, and check that it lights with the ignition and switch on.

is that littlery it positive and negative feed to the screen ? thought there would be some control modual or something to slow regulate the flow? ive got a multi meter ill check the feed that way thanks brian

Nothing as complicated as that on an E30 - just a simple on/off switch.
Use a bulb, not a meter, to check as I described above. Meters can give extremely misleading results on unloaded circuits.
Be very careful with the connecting tabs to the screen - they are easily broken away from the screen, and for that reason, don't pull the plugs off unless you absolutely have to.
