So I'm currently trying to fit a new Mocal Oil cooler to the 325. But I've hit a massive problem of the new sandwich plate having a male screw thread to attach to the block, but then nothing to attach the oil filter too, or needing a filter with another male thread. I know these aren't very common if at all.
Just wondering if anyone else has had any experience fitting aftermarket oil coolers the the M20 engines?
Cheers people!

are you using the 325i oil cooler take off or the mocal plate directly to the block?

The Mocal kit came with a new sandwich plate, which is the bit I'm struggling with. If there is a way to use to 325I take off that would be perfect!

Use the standard e30 take off, and filter. Then custom lines to your new cooler.

The standard take off incorporates a thermostat, which in normally use rarely directs oil through the cooler. Overcooled oil is as bad as overheated oil.

Awesome, does anyone know if you can get 1/2 bsp adaptors for the m20b25 take off so they fit the new pipes? Or is it a full custom job.
Cheers for the help so far! Appreciate it!
