Have a wild chip installed on my m30b35 and wondered if it is causing problems when cold?
when the car is warm/hot the car drives perfectly, but upon first start it will tick over fine, but hit the go peddle and it seems reluctant and spluttery, until the temp gauge gets out the blue then its perfect?!!
is this just a wild chip thing?

I've got one of those chips in mine and it's always been spot on, even straight from cold. How long has the chip been fitted to your car for?

Check the blue temperature sensor and wiring first before condemning the chip!

Open the ECU lid and find out which chip you have - some are better than others in regards to cold start map, etc.

as above, this sounds more like an air leak.zaust wrote:after you have checked the temp sensor I would also have a look for a small leak around the inlet side. A small gap can close quickly when warm.
