How to change brake pedal switch for brake lights

As above please.

I've had no brake lights recently and bulbs and fuse were checked ok and It looks like the brake pedal switch to turn the brake lights on is sticking. I've ordered a new one and my question is what's the easier way to remove the old one? I couldn't see mick the other day and it seemed a bit fiddly
