Central Locking Control Unit

I have replaced this unit whose location makes it liable to water damage. I will make sure the drain holes are clear, but would it be good idea to put it in a plastic bag to try to waterproof it to some extent, or might there be some other problem such as condensation?

There is absolutely no chance of water damage IF the car is kept in good order. BMW designers knew what they were doing, and yes, a plastic bag would probably give condensation problems.
