Hello all...i got my 1990 e30m40 almost a year now, every time i shift gears and push the clutch, clunking noises comes from under the back seat. a couple of months back, i bought a rebuild differential and driveshaft, got new rear axles, changed the clutch but still clunking noises is there.
went back to the shop today and brought down the differential, driveshaft, transmission, suspension and gearbox. hopefully the guys there can find out whats wrong with it.
anybody can give some enlightenment would be highly appreciated. thank a lot e30zone.

Since you've got it all down at the moment, renew everything that hasn't been done before, i.e. trailing arm bushes, top mounts, prop guibo and center mount, gear linkage, gearbox mounts, etc.
huraaa...my e30 is driving great now!!smooth!!
Pacerpete..blazed and zd3bx...u guys are right...changed all the mounts and bushing...Great advice!
All this time I thought it was the prop shaft, flexi disc and cross joints.
Thank u guys..thank you e30zone!
