Looking at ordering outer sill panels for mine, but I'm a bit confused when looking at the diagrams at RealOEM.

So am I right thinking that no 4 at this diagram is the COMPLETE outer sill panel for a saloon?

The reason I'm asking, is because there's another diagram, where the same part no 4 looks slightly different on the image, and it also seems no longer available?

Thanks for your help

Got some pictures for you to give you a better idea:

So the top one is described as "complete" by companies who sell these sill panels, but yet the bottom one looks pretty much the same, except it doesn't have the cut outs for the A and B pillar?

The way I understand it, is that you can still buy the no 4 on the diagram from BMW directly, which looks like the second sill panel on the picture above, but I'm not sure why other companies who sell replicas don't describe it as "full"?

Any help appreciated.

Unless your sills are REALLY rotten and have been bodged before, you are much better off just doing 'local repairs. Replacing a complete outer sill is very involved and will create a load of other potential rust issues down the line. Obviously rust / gape pics will help us advise better :)
