A few weeks ago I could smell a heavy burning smell obviously coming from wires.
I changed my battery because it was going flat every morning, the car had been running fine for about 2 months and last week I smelt the same smell but not as intense and the next morning flat battery again. So I tested a new battery and it worked fine for 2 days and now it's gone totally flat again.
I suspect that the heavy smell previously has burnt some wires and now there's a open circuit.
Any advice please
Thanks

Use a meter to find out where the drain is going!

Ok checked with a meter and the battery seems to be low in voltage and fluctuates down.
My next step is purchase a better battery because this is a economy one. However there seems to be a surge because
the battery is new and it was fine for a few days and now won't even respond to jump leads. Totally dead.
And this has happened twice
Any further advice Brain.
Thanks

You're supposed to be measuring current (amps), not voltage.
Sweep makes a valid point.
