I get a strange noise under hard acceleration. It's difficult to trace and all I can ascertain is that it is coming from behind the instrument panel somewhere. It sounds kinda like tin foil rustling or something - it's a bit 'gritty'. Almost like hoovering up sand?

Can't hear it, all I can hear is the engine and the clicking from the indicator

Dammit. Poor video. I posted it on Facebook and was told it sounds like pinking, although being an M52 it should have knock sensors? My exhaust is really poorly fitted from the manifold all the way back, with several leaks and holes along the way. I'm thinking the noise is either air escaping from that or a knocking issue brought on by issues with the exhaust.
