corsa link had telescopic problem

Just got corsa link but telescopic not work i try to make it shorter but not move, i see no rust just dry and seem the groove is still ok not jump

Or any tricky method make it slide?

I just afraid got broken part because of car accident?

After soak with diesel oil and some hammer punch it is success
