Hi all,

I bought a 91 E30 convertible recently. At some point in the past someone waxed the stitching on the roof. Not sure why as the stitching looks intact. Any ideas how to get rid of it? I've tried scrubbing and even used steam, best result is with my thumbnail!

edit: I should say it's more like a glue than a wax. a bit like that devils snot that used to attach things to the front of magazines!

Cheers
Jay

Yep, blue.

it's been well rained on recently so it's not ruined. Well .. yet! that's the only bit of stitching that I can see is gone.

I'll try the autoglym product.

Car came with a hard top too, so worth a shot

thanks for the reply.

Soo .... that went well!

Can anyone recommend any of the aftermarket roof suppliers?
