Fitted up a complete original central locking kit in a pre facelift e30
Everything has been tested and removed from another car
All actuators, and relay
for some reason The relay is not getting a permanent live? I have a ignition live but that doesn't make a difference?
Checked number 27 fuse (30 amp) thats fine.
Have I missed something

Ignition live is only for the impact sensor, to unlock the doors in the event of a crash.
Permanent live (red/black wire) follows a long path down the LH side of the car, across the back and then over the RH side to the socket for the driver's door loom in the A pillar. The red/black from the locking ECU socket goes to another pin in the A pillar socket.
The two pins are wired together by a link in the door loom.
Check for power at the red/black coming from a small loom from the rear of the car at the A pillar socket (you can access the back of the socket by removing the foot well speaker).
I strongly recommend that you cut this red/black away from the door loom socket and join it directly to the red/black to the locking ECU, as this will remove a major cause of corrosion in the socket, as well as probably curing your lack of power problem.
