Go back at 1990 when the car is new i have my friend's e30 drive, it feel so solid, firm, and feel hard as i remembered.
But now while i compare with my e30 it has different feel so soft and not solid.
Does it is because spring fatigue or i got false spring?
So do i need to buy new one but after market brand like mapco, etc or get used spring from 325 or touring?
Thank you
Markus

Could be worn springs, but more likely, worn dampers.

My dampers is always broken in 1,5 years and evenly with new dampers it is not so solid like i remembered. I know the new original spring is very expensive so if i buy aftermarket spring brand etc does is it ok? Or has different feel?

Depends what aftermarket spring you go for; el-cheapo lowering ones will rapidly wear out and compress too much. I once had to change a set on a 1987 320i that had sagged too much, so far that the MOT tester could pull the spring out of its cups with it raised up on the ramps. Fortunately, I had a spare set of standard OEM 320i springs in the garage from a 1984 320i and put them on, and the car felt better for it.
However, decent quality springs from the likes of Eibach, etc. should be as good or better than OEM.

Thanks speedtouch. I'm not intend to lower my car, and will use normal height stock spring oem. What is the oem brand example? Or example price for new standart oem spring? I found locally price about 60 gbp a pair new.

I think Lemforder make the original ones, but the likes of Boge and Eibach are probably just as good.
