I have rebuilt my drivers door lock following the online guide. The rebuilt lock works normally when I turn it to lock the doors and I can remove the key. The problem is when I make the extra 90 degree turn to drop the deadlocks the key is trapped in the lock. If I back if off to free the key the deadlocks come off.

Anyone had a similar problem?

TIA

This is the part that's not working properly. When you turn the key to the deadlock position, an 'over centre' mechanism, associated with the L shaped alloy piece on the back end of the barrel, should flip over, and shouldn't flip back again, releasing the deadlock microswitch until the key is turned 45 degrees the other way.

Sorted. I didn't have the lock assembled correctly.
