Folks, after much ado the windscreen was removed and the dash was finally refitted.

I have started to put everything back together but have now noticed that the ABS light is permanently on and the electric windows no longer operate!!

I have checked all the cables i unplugged to remove the dash and can nothing out place.

I also cant see any cooked fuses..could i have fried a rely?

most frustrating.

any help would be most welcome.

Regards
Gary

Windows: Is the button on the thermal cut out ('switch' in front of the RH window switch) pushed fully down? Are its two wires connected to it? They fall off fairly easily.
ABS: Can't suggest anything on this until we've established whether you have the early or late version.
Early version has a silver coloured 'relay' clipped to the body coloured metal that the glove box catch is bolted to.
Late version has a red/yellow wire connected to pin 20 of the C101 engine loom socket on the BODY loom.

thanks Brian...i did not even consider the cut off switch ..its not connected..doh. .i will check this and report back.

She is a December 1989 model , a late chromie. The car start and drives fine but the abs light will not go out. the light went out before i removed the dash.

I have also just noticed that i dont have front idicators either and 2 of the small bulbs in that light up the dash are blown....hmmm.

Before anyone asks i removed the battery before removing the dash for safety reasons.

ABS could be either type. Need to know for sure which you have.
