What is likely to be the cause and how hard is this to remove the weather stripping etc. Is this something i should leave to a professional or tackle myself?

The top right side seal on my rear windscreen seems to have peeled away slightly, and is letting in water at the bottom right corner. I'm slightly worried about damaging the paint work or glass.
What is likely to be the cause and how hard is this to remove the weather stripping etc. Is this something i should leave to a professional or tackle myself?
