Hi, was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction - have an issue with my e30, i recently had the suspension replaced which raised the car to a drop -30mm.
Having gone to a garage to have the alignment done, the rear end of the car feels like its moving about going in a straight line once you go above 40 mph - could possibly find the sheet displaying the alignment and upload it to show what it was left at.
On another note, there is a clunking sound coming from the front of the car, which i cannot put my finger on, but to me sounds like its coming from the steering rack?
Is there a garage that comes recommended in london, preferably east, although im willing to travel to get the alignment sorted.

Springs located correctly?
Could be a worn bush if the back end is "crabbing"

Rear ones? Sounds a pain but it's the best time to sort out everything back there as its a ball ache to drop the rear down....
It's my next big job to do...., yay!

The rear ones, looks to be the subframe bushes and could explain the knocking sound!

How annoying!
All that work too...
Lemforder, febi and meyal seem to be the OE spec makes of good quality
Poly bushes are said to be harsh for road use.
Going off topic clonking from rear could be rear top mounts . If the big washer wasn't refitted the mount rips its rubber off...!

Adding to the confusion, the knocking seems to be coming from the front
Is there anywhere in particular i could get the OE spec items? Although poly bush doesn't sound like a bad idea, as the car only covers a couple thousand a year.

Car parts for less have most of the good makes.
Knocking from the front could be anything loose or very worn looking.
A good start would to be jacking up the front on a level surface support with axle stands and check wheels for any play and get a lever bar where bushes mount to check for play. Ie anti roll bar links etc
