just want to clear up some confusion im having, as different threads say different things i need to replace my steering rack as i have a leak out of the nearside gator, id like to take the opportunity to upgrade to a newer rack with less turns lock to lock. What id like to know is which if any are completely interchangeable and dont require any fettling or different parts ect?? or do they all need this.

Wiki has all the answers like said. I'm running a purpletag with e36 inner and outer track rods. 3 turns lock to lock. Absolutely brilliant now. It replaced an e36 m3 rack which was rubbish in comparison.
