hi just wondering if anyone could tell me what ratio my diff is, im doing an m50 swap and wondering if its going to be geared to high

What gearbox are you using? This will determine what ratio diff you need.
If yours is a facelift 318i I think the ratio is 4.45:1, but the 318i uses the weaker small case diff which isn't really recommended for 24v swaps. You ideally need a medium case diff which is stronger.

im going to weld the diff as im using the car for drifting so not sure if this will make it stronger?
