I wouldn't bother. It's not like its been modified, it's simply had a rust repair

I'd like to think so but i think on the V5 doesn't it say something about sunroof as a detail?

thats a new one... woudnt bother telling the dvla anything bunch of mongs especially a sunroof?, will most likely cause you trouble and ballache in the long run, as they will probably deem your car unroadworthy til it has had a check etc, know someone that declared an engine swap, car was not allowed on the road for a couple months and had to be inspected by some vosa bod....

Sounds like you've not had much grief with the DVLA in the past Matt? That will change if you start telling them things like this

Leave well alone.
The car has had a genuine non-sunroof skin fitted as a corrosion repair, best not to poke the hornets nest.

I dread the day I'd have to contend with a roof skin replacement. Did you do the work yourself Appletree?

Don't tell them it will turn into a nightmare. ....would you inform them if you replaced the bonnet /wings/doors /bootlid due to rust? Probably not ....I see the roof as the same! !!!
Upto you of course! !!!
