Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone can help me with rear springs for a 325iX Touring. I know the 325iX Touring has it's own unique springs (different from other 325iX, and different from other Tourings...but I'm wondering where to find them.

The BMW part #'s are (as per realoem.com):

- 33-53-9-061-400
- 33-53-9-061-450

One of those (I'm not 100% sure which one) is for the standard 325iX Touring, and the other is for the one with detachable tow hitch. I have a tow hitch, but it's not detachable, it's the tow bar model (though it is stock). I'm assuming the towing one is stiffer, and to be honest, I don't care which one I'd get, as long as it's as stiff or stiffer than the originals.

As you can tell, I'm looking for as "stock" as possible (I don't want to lower), and being in Canada (the Touring never came to North America) it is next to impossible to find anything.

I've checked ebay, etc... even in the UK, but I can't seem to find anything. I'd imagine the UK is not the best place to look because (as far as I know) the 325iX touring was LHD only, so it likely wasn't sold there. Anyone know where I can go to find out more details and/or to buy some? An example of "more detail" that I'm looking for is the order of stiffness between models... i.e. I know the convertible (cabriolet) has stiffer rear springs than the sedan, but is the 325iX Touring rear the stiffest of them all? If I knew how the ranges went, I could get the closest one to match.

Thanks!!

As a fellow IX owner, have you tried the yahoo 325ix forum, lots of knowledgeable chaps there from your part of the world. Not a whole lot of detailed technical knowledge about the on here.
