Hello bm1956,
I found this useful when working out mine, feed in the gearbox ratios, tire size and diff ratio and it will give you road speed verses rpm, I think every 250 rpm, so just feed in regular bmw diff ratios and check what the outcome is, then whether you want all out acceleration or economy or somewhere in the middle, hope this is helps, cheers

I have a spread sheet that can calculate the speed in each gear vs rpm.
