well as the title says im fitting oem central locking to my car and i cant seem to get power ive at present only got the drivers door done and the fuel cap! now i checked to see have i got the central locking module and i do so thats fine but there is no relay!
is this why it isnt working? i fitted another black fuse box relay i had here and still notting! i do have power in the door as the electric mirrors are now working i fixed them yesterday as they never worked since i got the car i cleaned up the door connection and swapped the switch and they started working!
and the fuse is present and looks fine!

No relays involved with the central locking, apart from the two built into the locking ECU.
Power from fuse 27 follows the long route around the car to get to the locking ECU, but there are no plugs and sockets in it, other than the one in the A pillar for the driver's door, which you should deal with as a matter of course, by following the link in the post above.

I have read up about re routing that wire alright and i will try that next! fuse 27 is present and seems to be working! i have a spare central locking module here and i tryed swapping them but notting still! then i removed the switch from the lock and pressed it to see if it would work and notting!daimlerman wrote:Red/black wire mod springs to mind....

will the central locking not work if its incomplete? i havent got the passanger door one fitted yet or the boot door one!
brian the socket for the relay i believe has something to do with lights timing which lights is it for the roof one's to turn of after a few minutes or something else?

Connect a 12 volt bulb of at least 5W, preferably 21W, NOT a meter, between the red/black wire and the brown wire of the socket for the locking ECU. This bulb should light at full brightness.
If it doesn't, then find out why not.
The central locking will work if one or more of the lock motors is missing.
A delay module for the interior lights shares fuse 27 with the central locking, if fitted., and is mounted on the same bracket as the locking ECU, but, apart from this, has absolutely nothing to do with the locking.
