Any advice on fitting these? Received them today and they are one peice, no slit to put them on the bar? Don't want to do it wrong!

They usually have a break in them thats stuck together, slide them on the end of the bar and they will open up

Bought 19mm ones
Cannot fit these for love nor money
New shackles and old shackles both do the same thing
The front peice of the shackle keeps popping out the slot not going far enough in to allow it to come up to the bolt hole
Closest I've got the bolt hole to line up is 2 cm gap
Any one able to help? Really got the hump with it tonight

1 Swear,a lot...let next door's kid's learn a few new words..
2 Place a jack under the clamp and lift as far as it will go without popping out.
3 At this point, use a longer bolt to pull the clamp closed.
4 Hold the clamp closed with a pair of mole grips and swap the bolt for the correct one.
5 Grab a beer from the fridge to celibrate! :D

Pair of these is about the best tool for the job, also a longer bolt to pull it together as said above
