This is a windscreen washer valve which is the last connection to the windscreen washer jets, nozzles on the bonnet. The drivers side nozzle stopped working, thinking it was blocked I tried to clear it with the usual tools a needle, pin ect but no luck.when I lifted the bonnet and tried the washers again, water was spaying out of one of the 2 holes in the main body of the valve. The 2 holes look like there meant to be there but for what reason?Ive ordered a new one, will this cure my problem.

Had the same problem, but it turned out to be the clip that was holding the hose to the valve, not the valve itself.
See my post here > http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... 31#2593531
Are both of the hoses attached to the valve using the clips shown in my post?

The clips are there and in perfect condition,as I said it's coming out of one of the two hoes in the body of the valve.

Talking of eBay, this will probably do the job

As far as I remember, the genuine BMW one wasn't too pricy either, about 10 quid from memory?
