Hi all,
My rear tech2 spoiler came back from the body shop yesterday, and when I picked it up they said that a couple of the mounting studs for the top piece were broken.
So there's the bottom bit that mounts to the boot, which is fine, and the larger top bit which goes above. On this, there's three threads, one in the middle, which is OK, and two at the ends, which are missing.
Does anyone know if it's possible to replace these, or is there a glue of some kind that can be used instead? I'd expect only using one in the middle would wobble, and it seems a waste to bin a freshly painted spoiler due to two bolts...
Cheers,
Joe

im in the same boat and i have just drilled in to the broken studs with a 2mm bit then opened them up to 4mm and ran a m5 tap down them, going to glue a bolt it it looks like its going to work ok though.

Sounds good. I've since showed it to my dad and he suggested the same thing
I'd be grateful if you report back how it goes! Cheers
