Hi,
Have seen on here that a e30 318is m42 etc... Should have a 2.0 bar radiator cap whilst others under recall had 1.4 bar cap.

Reason I ask is the yellow disc in the base states 140, do I have the right cap and what issues could it cause? Rad was changed in 2002 according to the history

Any idea?

Thanks....

You have the wrong cap, which will lower the boiling point of your coolant by about 10 degrees.
I doubt if this will cause any problems in normal use.

Read this http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/inde ... g#Tank_Cap
Looks as though you may have the wrong one.
Cheers
