MY E30 M3 AS BEEN STOOD FOR ABOUT 10 YEARS AND NOW ITS TIME TO GET IT STARTED AGAIN.
THE FUEL PUMPS WORKING FINE AND THE FUELS GETTING ALL THE WAY THROUGH TO THE FUEL BAR ABOVE THE INJECTORS.
I,M PRESUMING THE INJECTORS ARE BLOCKED WITH OLD UNLEADED PETROL.
I,VE GOT EVERYTHING REMOVED BUT I JUST DONT KNOW HOW TO GET THE INJECTORS OUT AS THERE SEEMS TO BE A BIT OF RESISTANCE.
CAN ANYBODY HELP?
ALSO WHATS THE BEST WAY TO CLEAN THEM.

REGARDS.

Very easy, disconnect each of the plugs that go to each injector, at the bottom of the fuel rail that goes on to the injector there is a square clip ( like a sirclip ) remove thoses x4, and remove the 2 10mm bolts that retain the fuel rail, pull the fuel rail off of the top of the injectors. Then just pull each of the injectors out they are only held in by a small "O" ring.

10 minute job... :D

all true.

however i had a bit of a problem on my m535i recently (a similar setup with regard to the injector positions.) if there's resistance then it's between the o-ring on the injector tip and the inlet manifold. i pulled too hard on the one that was stuck, and instead of the o-ring coming out with the injector, the injector pulled itself free of the o-ring, pulling the injector tip off in the process. which then rolled down into the inlet port :clin:

if i was doing it again i would use plenty of plusgas and be more careful!

THANKS FOR THE INFO,UNFORTUNATELY I,VE ALREADY SUCESSFULLY GOT THEM OUT AND GOT THE CAR STARTED.FOR ANYONE WHOSE HAD A CAR STANDING AS LONG AS MINE I AM SURE THEY WILL SUFFER THE SAME STARTING PROBLEM SO HERES WHAT I DID.
I USED SOME WD40 TO GET THE INJECTORS LOOSE.ONCE REMOVED I CONNECTED THE FUEL LINES BACK ON AND BASICALLY GOT SOMEONE TO TURN THE IGNITION TO SEE IF THE INJECTORS WERE FIRING THE FUEL OUT.NO JOY ON FIRST ATTEMPT SO ON SECOND ATTEMPT AS THE ENGINE WAS TURNING OVER I GENTLY TAPPED THE INJECTORS WITH THE HANDLE OF A SCREWDRIVER,EVERY ONE STARTED TO FIRE PERFECT.
PUT EVERYTHING BACK TOGETHER,HOWEVER IT STILL WOULD NOT START EVEN THOUGH THE FUEL WAS REACHING THE PLUGS.THE PLUGS WERE CHECKED PREVIOUSLY AND WERE SPARKING BUT WERE OBVIOUSLY FLUFFED.
I PUT A BRAND NEW SET IN AND IT STARTED WITHIN A SPLIT SECOND.(SOUNDED AS SWEET AS A NUT).

I HAVE DAMAGED ONE OF THE O'RINGS ON THE INJECTOR,DOES ANYBODY KNOW IF YOU GET GET REPLACEMENTS.

REGARDS.

You can still get the o-ring's from the dealer for pence, I've got some spare here if you haven't got any dealer's local.
