Today I was in the process of fitting my spanking new lock set but have hit a snag with the ignition barrel. The one on the car doesn't have the little pin hole to release it, maybe it's a replacement one. Does anyone know of any way to remove it or will it be a case of taking off the whole housing from the column?

Pre facelift car? The release hole is on the side of the barrel, under the column cover.

Ah right, I was having a poke in that but didn't feel like anything was happening while I was giggling the key. Is it meant to be a similar method as the facelift version?

Would that mean I can only put a pre facelift barrel back in?
