Hi all,

Needed some quick advice on this part.

my fan only works on setting 4, and im told the resistor needs changing, i called BMW for a qoute and they've quoted two types:

-Resistor with micro filter

-Resistor w/o microfilter

My car is an '89 325i cabrio WITHOUT air con.

Can anybody advise on which heater resistor i need to order for my vehicle?

thanks in advance

Almost certainly 64 11 1 375 754.
Take the resistor out and check that the problem is not just debris on the contacts of the overheat cut out stopping it from working, although heat generated from a poor contact here usually destroys the thing anyway.
Access to the resistor is from the LH side inside the cabin, not under the bonnet.

Sorry is that part number with or without microfilter?

Im changing my heater valve as its blown, getting my heater matrix refurbed, so while I'm there i rather just change resistor than just clean it. While the centre console and all access panels are off that is. Rather than having to remove it all again in the future.

Sorry i guess i need to be asking has my car got a micro filter?!
I thought the resistor would be the same either way, but cotsworld have quoted for two different types. With and without microfilter as mentioned previously.
