Getting a ticking noise from the glove box area that starts around 1.5k and gets faster with revs then disappears after about 3k.

Any ideas?

Could it be a relay?

Is this an engine converted car? An M60 cab springs to mind??

Yes it is an m60 cab. Only really started since the conversion.

Exactly what I thought.

I'd suspect the heater valve is ticking as you've got the heater pipes on the wrong way round. I'm not sure on the M60 (can't see it being different), but usually the pipe from the back of the head goes to the lower heater pipe on the bulkhead.
Having the pipes the wrong way round can damage the heater valve as you're trying to force coolant through it the wrong way.

Oh bollocks. Sounds like an ASAP job. Do you know of any pictures/diagrams? Cheers for the help mate, I was thinking it was just a relay clicking away but the correlation to the rpm didn't make sense.

Pretty sure your right - realised I have no heat when the car is moving fast.

No heat at higher revs is sure fire sign.

I don't know of any pics to hand and I'm at work at the mo, but if you look at the bulkhead on the passenger side (assuming its RHD) you should see two pipes heading through to the heater. These will need swapping top to bottom. You may loose some coolant so you might need to bleed it after.

I've not not had many dealings with M60 conversions, but I'm guessing it will be tight for space at the back of the left head??
