As a "get me home" I disconnected the ICV following a loss of idle as the engine revved up and down, and car ran fine without the icv.
Is it OK to run without the ICV (I am in a warm climate)?
Obviously I will replace the valve, but I just wish to know the consequences, if any, starting probs for example.
BTW: If anyone was following my overheating prob I am glad to report a new rad solved it. I had the original "professionaly" cleaned and was told the rad would be opened up and rodded clean, but I think I was ripped off, but it was only 45€! Also changed W/pump, hoses, and belt whilst in there!
