after fitting the new fuel pressure regulator, seems like the problems still plague me...
it start's revs up, and then dies. if i keep it revved at 2500rpm it doesn't stall. but if i let it drop at 2000rpm it suddenly dies. after keeping it reved up, the engine warmed up, and the problem seems to go away and it idles nicely. when cold it looks like some vacum leak, resembles that kind of simthoms but no leak whatsoever.
wha might be the culprit?
strange cold stall problem - sorted

bearly could start it today, had to rev up to 4000rpm to get it warm up and just then i could leave the engine to idle without stalling. went to the mechanic for some advice, bearly could made it back home. the engine was surgeing had to constantly floor the pedal to keep the car going. the mechanic said it could be lost of things
from the fuel pump to the injectors(all6 of 'em?) to some sensors to even something broken in the camshaft housing... i honestly don't know because i already checked everything myself. seems when these electronic injection engines when they do quit they quit for good.

whereabouts are you based fella?
like the mechanic said, it could be a whole host of things from an air leak somewhere to electronics to fuel system

finnaly sorted things out.
firstly the automatic choke temperature sensor wiring was faulty it had a loose lead conection. sorted that out, than still the same problem, dying after 5 secs of running droping from 2000rpm to complete stall. then having a hunch i reched the breather hose i taped just a while ago, and a new crak between the ceases apeard, this some time recently.
with the faulty fuel pressure regulator, the faulty sensor and the new crack in the breather hose, they all present very similar simthoms, and had to systematic check and rechek everything.
anywas while revving it to 3.000-4.000rpm yesterday, a accentuated tick sound apeared, i have to check camshaft and valve clearence, hope it didn't sustain any damage.
