Fuel consumption an tuning issues
Moderator: martauto
hi all as many of you may know I recently purchased a 320 it drives fine but for some reason the throttle pedal is quite tight, and stiff to push down any ideas of what this can be?? ive lubed up the tensioner spring inside the car, the swivel bit on the foot pedal aswell as the springs on the throttle?? ive also noticed a high fuel smell coming from the car as if its running lean, any tips and tricks to get it running sweet?

Stiff pedal will be cured by a new throttle cable. The inner wears into the liner on the bends over time.
If you can smell fuel, the first thing to check are the rubber fuel pipes from the bottom, back, left corner of the engine bay to the fuel rail. Bend them around while the engine is running, and see if there are any leaks.
