How does this happen? It rains for the first time in months and water gets into my headlights. Not just condensation? It has caused the bulb contacts to corrode and one bulb to burn out. I can clean the contacts and replace the bulbs, but how, did water get in, and how can I prevent it in the future?

Cracked lens
Broken lens
Failed join between lens and lamp body

First two are obvious :D the third more difficult to spot, but with the light unit on the bench you can use a heat gun to separate the two bits, and re-seal with a silicone type sealant.

Or just stop being a tight git(like me :o:)and buy nice, shiny new units!
