Hi my 333i turbo is running very rich. CO is 5%, have done all service items including changing of fuel filter that was of 1986 vintage! Car was previously mapped in 1996 so had the original filter in when it was mapped. It also had the wrong plugs for a boosted car 3 prong NGK and resistors! Since everything CO went up. Attached is my map the red areas have been corrected (mistakes in the map I guess) and have reduced fuel in speed site 1 load 1 to 10 and got it down to 4.4 CO which I think is still too rich? Has anyone got a copy of their map just for cross reference purposes? Cars compression ration is 6.8:1 and the idle is smooth just too rich even with all the fuel taken out of that zone. Also fuel zone 3 load 2 looks a bit odd any ideas why you would map like this or is it another mistake? Note injectors have recently been refurb'd

Also included is my tables for cold enrichment notice there is no spark advance being applied? If anyone has thetre spark tables and advance that I could look at just for reference purposes that would be great

Any help much appreciated.

Note fuel on the excel is actually 18 on the excel for load 0 from speed site 0 to 7 but looks like 10 on the excel due jpg compression I have only adjusted load 1 speed 1 to 10, also relevent is that the C/R is 6.8:1

Got idle down to afr 14.7 but only by reducing fuel pressure to silly low amounts. It was quite happy sitting at 700 rpm at 14.7 but obviously cannot drive it will such low pressure was around 1.8 bar. I do wonder if the MAP sensor is acting up and reading incorrectly or my vacuum guage is wroung and I am reducing fuelling in the wrong load site.

Have you tried putting the original 1986 fuel filter back in place, to see what effect it has?

Should have seen the crap that came out of it when I blew the fuel lines out with compressed air so not really an option as all the crap that was in there has been blown out (but did keep it in my box of bits). It has a new filter and also another filter from an outboard mercury engine to remove any water not sure how much if any restriction this provides.

Presumably not much, if it's running too rich?

What fuel pressure regulator do you have - the standard M30B32 one, or an adjustable type?

Have both FPRs obviously only one on at a time 8) Yes agreed the outboard filter is non restrictive supposed to be good enough for two 300hp outboards.

What are you using to measure the CO - are you sure it's accurate? And what type of management are you running - open (without lambda sensor) or closed loop (with lambda sensor)?
