Hi Fellas,

I need help with a few things:

1. Balljoint separator - if I remember correctly, only certain sizes work for E30 due to the tierod balljoint size (is it 21mm opening that's needed)? Can someone recommend me one I KNOW will work. I know the hammer method...but always nice to have a slightly gentler solution. One that won't break rubber boots...either of these?

2. Passenger door - my passenger door is SUPER stiff. I have taken the card off and tried greasing it, the actuator works smoothly (have replaced with good ones), but it's a physical effort to pull the lock up and down. I can't see anything broken or jamming it, so any ideas?

3. Passenger window switch - this sometimes works, and I can't figure out the common theme. I have replaced the switch, but any ideas. Maybe the connection in the door?

4. Mirror - I have replaced the passenger side wing mirror motor but it still only goes left and right, NOT up and down. any ideas?

5. Subframe inserts - I am trying to find the inserts for BOTH the front and rear mounting points for part 14 the pic below. The front is the normal flat sheetmetal type body nut, the rear is a bolt with a square flat bottom that slots into the body. I can't find them on ETK anywhere. Any ideas?

6. Windscreen washer clips. I can't find the metal clips that attached the hoses onto the washer nozzles and am using zip ties now. again - I can't find on ETK anywhere. The one that should connect part 10 in the pic to the hose.

Thanks,
Gus

This thread will rapidly turn mental, trying to deal with six completely different things in one, but I'll give it a shot.

1. My ball joint splitter is almost identical to the Franklin one you listed. It worked on the steering joint, but I had to split it to do the inner ball joint on the wishbone.

2. No idea

3. Corroded door loom pins or corrosion in the switch socket.

4. Broken motor clutch or again, corroded door loom pins

5. It helps if you link to RealOEM rather than some shite flickr link. Still, no idea.

6. What's wrong with zip ties? I'd far rather deal with them than those poxy metal clips.

Worth going overboard - will try cleaning out the door loom pins and see how they get on.

zip ties are OK...just being anal!
