Hi there,
Does anyone know where I can send my Alpina shock absorbers to get them serviced and renovated?
I heard that it is possible to get them re-gassed and valved but I don't know where to send them.
Thanks

Yes they are. Same as mtec2 but they have modified /Alpina spec valves which make them behave differently.

M technic suspension from september 1988 (so all tech2 sports) had yellow Boge shocks on the rear and black Boge shocks on the front.NoTurbo wrote:Yes they are. Same as mtec2 but they have modified /Alpina spec valves which make them behave differently.
Car's with M techinc suspension built before september 1988 had yellow Bilstein B6's front and rear.
Alpina shocks were also Yellow Bilsteins but valved differently.
Bilstein UK can rebuild any B6/B8 shock and can now rebuild them to either Alpina or Hartge spec as well.

/\ Only thing is the rebuild cost is only slightly cheaper than buying new dampers

Indeed but if you want Alpina spec ones it works out cheaper as they are more money than normal B8's and if you want Hartge spec ones then it's the only choice you have as they are NLA.

Thanks guys very helpful. I didn't know Hartige also had a different spec. What is the difference between those and the Alpinas?
