Got a re-occuring problem where by opening the door or flicking the switch on the interior lights causes the Rev counter to stop working, as soon as you shut the door or flick the switch back it works again, suggests a short somewhere. Also the interior lights don't work.

Car is a 2 door '87 320i

Anyone had this before? :?
